Back in my days at the University of Sioux Falls I knew this girl named Amanda. She was roommates with a couple of other friends I had and I spent a lot of time around them all. Amanda and I were both standing in a wedding for mutual friends we had two years ago and she was always a pretty talent artist.

Now she’s in Boston, married, and started her own cake company called Amanda Oakleaf Cakes. She has put together some pretty impressive creations that I will let you check out for yourself on her website, but if you enjoy the cake making shows on television you will truely be impressed by her cakes.

Anyway on her facebook page she announced she’s giving away a life-sized Storm Trooper cake. This cake she quotes as a cake that would be worth a few thousand dollars will hopefully stand 5′11 on its own. She has  a few contest rules and what not, like being from the Boston area to win, but I can think of several different reasons why this party would be kick ass.
