Jordan and I refereed a kids basketball tournament last weekend. More specifically 5th grade girls. Then today I stumbled across this. Apparently a parent at 5th grade girls basketball game got thrown out after swearing at the refs for 30 seconds.

The tournament that we reffed was for charity, and we volunteered to help. The crowd was still a little unruly at times. I don’t get it. It’s not college, there are no scouts at the game, calm down a little.

Even high school ball fans need to calm down. I don’t remember one game from my high school career, so obviously one bad call isn’t something I am going to remember… so why make a fuss over it?

Update: After reading the article Busted Coverage links to I was wrong.  The dad actually got tossed 30 seconds into the game. Wow. Impressive guy.
