Tom Delonge is a caring guy. He knew we missed him when he was in Minneapolis a few days ago, so he’s giving us a second shot. Sunday, August 3rd Angels and Airwaves will be in Minneapolis for none other than… the Vans Warped Tour! That’s right, they’ve decided to play the entire tour, which will be stopping at the Metrodome.
Glancing through the list here are some other notable bands that should be fun to watch:

I personally can’t wait to see what happens. I am a fan of Angels and Airwaves and all, but I can’t imagine this being their scene. I am guessing at least a quarter of the audience will be there out of pure hate for Tom.
I only hope they have the perseverance to last until August (it starts the middle of June).

Same lists, just doubling on my references. On these I don’t see Sum 41… but I know they said they plan on adding more bands over the next few months.
I’m sure there will be a few anti-Tom/AvA chants at this… First time on Warped since blink?? This is way more of a +44 environment but both would be a little out of their element.
However, this year could already sounds like it’s leaps and bounds better than the past couple. I will be there – Motion City Soundtrack is my favorite band and playing in their homestate again.

Quickly going through, I want to see Angels and Airwaves, Anberlin, Cobra Starship, All American Rejects if they were playing through august sad, Gym Class Heros, Motion City Soundtrack, I think Reel Big Fish would be fun, Rise Againts (starts after the 3rd, bastards)…. But theres probably several others, and I really wouldn’t mind finding a a few new bands like I did last year.
My bad. I thought All-American Rejects were playing the whole thing. Real Big Fish WILL (not would) be fun. I was also pissed at Rise Against for starting one date late…
But still I think this is the best line up they’ve had for a while. I’m keeping my hopes up for a few more bands signing…

the academy is…., Against Me!, All That Remains, Anberlin, As I Lay Dying, August Burns Red, The Devil Wears Prada, From First To Last, Norma Jean, Pennywise, Real Big Fish, Say Anything, Story of the Year…. been wanting to go last few years…tottally going this year…especially if Underoath gets thrown in late again
and have they announced who the will be headlining this year….last year it was coheed…and i heard they weren’t that great…
going to see AVA, Motion City alone would be worth the trip, GCH, Cobra Starship, Reel Big Fish, would all be great like I said.

Only if you don’t want to go. It’s not an 18 and over deal. As long as you are ready to rock out for 10 straight hours you can go. I wouldn’t mind taking a bigger group at all…
