A Chance to Live the Dream

So I have recently applied, interviewed, and accepted a summer internship with the Sioux Falls Canaries. Since I can remember I have always wanted to get into baseball. Now that I know I won’t be a player, or be the youngest GM of the Seattle Mariners ever, but I had to get my foot in the door somehow. This was also tough to do cause I like my job at Hollister right now. But encouraged by my loving girlfriend Sara I put in my resume to the Canaries and got a call back asking for an interview. Today I had the interview and it went extremely well. I will be a summer game day part time intern. They are going to work around my work schedule and basically I get to learn all of the tricks of the trade called baseball business.
Since sports jobs are very competitive its not uncommon for everyone to have to get in the door and then make something of themselves before they find themselves a career in the sport. Hopefully this is my foot in the door, and I can shine my awesome self and make a case for something bigger than a part time internship. My future is very unclear so we’ll see what happens. Who knows maybe Hollister will offer something special, or maybe something different all together will become available. But I work 50 hours a week now, whats a few extra hours working baseball? Not too much I don’t think
Anyway it starts in the spring, so I will be keeping you guys detailed on my journey as a baseball intern.
Who knows…this job might be the beginning to my future presidency and take over of the world. A man can dream right?
World Domination…step by step…Perfect!
Brilliant!
